21 Oct Let’s Celebrate the Eighth Annual California Clean Air Day
Wednesday, Oct. 1 is California Clean Air Day 2025! This annual day of action encourages Californians across the state to take the Clean Air Day pledge and help reduce air pollution. There are many ways to reduce air pollution, including:
- Taking public transit
- Bringing lunch to work
- Carpooling
- Several other ways to help, too!
Be part of California Clean Air Day by joining an event or making a small change to help reduce air pollution in your region.

In honor of the eighth annual California Clean Air Day, some regional transit providers in our region will be offering incentives:
- Sacramento Regional Transit will provide free rides systemwide on October 1
- North Natomas Jibe offers free Sacramento Regional Transit fare to people who live or work in North Natomas
- Placer County Transit offers free rides, system-wide for Sierra College students
If you don’t see your local transit agency listed, check with them to find out if they’re offering any special perks for California Clean Air Day.
Take the Clean Air Pledge and be part of a cleaner community for all.
